Award winning News Photographer, André Jones, is not just big in stature; he's got big ideas too. Jones was awarded a football scholarship to attend Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland where he graduated with a BA in Communications. He is a visual artist who communicates through the lens of a camera. A native of Northern Virginia, Jones began his professional career in the nation's capitol at the public television station in Washington D.C.

Photographer, Editor, Producer, Director, Master Control Operator, Lighting Director – André Jones delivers! What allows him to stand strong and stand out in a field as demanding as any-is that he not only does it all – he does it all well.

Telling a story through his eyes, means seeing the complete story without words. As a Photojournalist, Jones produces his assignments in picture – from the beginning to the end; each shot is concise, clear and creatively presented.

For fifteen years now, Jones has worked in the Atlanta market, five of those years with the number one rated ABC affiliate, WSB-News 2, and ten years with CNN covering local and national events. His photographic reach has covered the map.

Jones believes real change and inspiration come from those who can make a difference in the life of another. He Teaches in seminars and consults in the area of photojournalism. His professional commitment is industry noted – with awards too numerous to mention. Jones is a visiting faculty member at the Poynter Institute. He has presented on the 2003 Flying Short Course and a judge for the NPPA 2004 Best of Photojournalism. He served on the Unity Visual Task Force in 2004 and is the proud founder of Lens for Christ. His personal commitments are equally important. He often encourages and mentors young teenage boys, believing that the true sign of a leader is one who recognizes and then acts on the universal and biblical truth: "to whom much is given, much is required."
